Part Time Practice Manager- Kincumber Doctors

We are a small, self-run general practice seeking to find a replacement Practice Manager, preferably with experience, to oversee our surgery at Kincumber Doctors. Situated on the Central Coast of NSW, our practice has been happily established for 35 years and consists of four associate doctors, one sessional doctor and four part-time nurses. We also have a GP registrar and are involved in the education of medical students.
The position on offer would require management of rostering, appointment systems, the payroll, staff performance and professional development. It would also involve the maintenance and update of our computer system through liaison with our IT company, maintenance of our office and medical equipment, the preparation of financial reports in conjunction with our accountant, and the facilitation of practice meetings.
The nature of general practice as a business within the health service sector means that it would be desirable for the applicant to have some experience of Medicare and private billing procedures, the need for confidentiality, a basic understanding of medical terminology and the health standards required for community medical practice.
Part-time, negotiable hours
