The North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) has launched a powerful new video urging health professionals to start the conversation about family and domestic violence with their patients.

 

In Victoria, intimate partner violence is a leading contributor of death, disability and illness in women aged 15 – 44 and is the main cause of homelessness for women and their children.

 

Although starting the conversation may feel daunting, with the right tools and supports, clinicians can empower those experiencing domestic violence to break the silence and seek safety.
