Rural Workforce Agency Victoria Business Training Grant Applications Now Open

Applications are now open for the Rural Workforce Agency Victoria (RWAV) Business Training Grant for 2023/24. The Business Training Grant, funded by RWAV, helps to improve the viability of Rural Primary Healthcare practices in Victoria by supporting business management skills development. 

Individual applicants may be eligible for up to $1500.00 per financial year, with total applications capped at $3000.00 across a single practice. 

This grant is available to practices to support business-related training or upskilling for Practice Managers or administrative staff employed in Victoria at:

  • a private primary healthcare practice in a MMM 3–7 location, or
  • an Aboriginal Medical Service or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in MMM 1–7 locations.

WorkSafe Victoria’s Clinical Support Service

The Clinical Support Service provides an avenue for treating healthcare providers to speak directly with an experienced WorkSafe Clinical Panel expert. The service aims to provide providers with additional support and advice when treating injured workers. All medical and allied health providers can submit an enquiry or call 1800 136 089 (7:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday).

Following an enquiry, a WorkSafe Clinical Panel expert will make contact to provide clinical advice and engage in peer to peer discussion to brainstorm treatment and services available to injured workers.

Provider Pulse — WorkSafe Victoria's regular newsletter for treating healthcare providers

WorkSafe’s Provider Pulse includes useful information and updates to treating healthcare providers including allied health, GPs, pharmacists, hospitals, occupational rehabilitation providers and other medical practitioners.

Released quarterly, the newsletter will keep you updated on WorkSafe's legislative changes, policy and pilot programs. It'll also include updates to guidance and material to help yous upport injured workers and improve recovery outcomes.
