Recognised pathway for experienced Practice Managers

UNE Partnerships in consultation with AAPM have developed a tailored RPL process for experienced practice management professionals wishing to obtain the Diploma of Professional Practice Leadership (enrolments closed) and the Diploma of Leadership in Healthcare Practice.  The purpose of this RPL process is to allow for completion of formal qualifications based on existing skills, experience and knowledge, rather than through traditional learning and assessment.

Government funding and incentives

The Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Programme provides a great opportunity for Medical Practices or other businesses to train new staff, upskill existing staff, or formalize the skills and knowledge of experienced staff. Traineeships are employment-based training programs, that combine nationally recognized qualifications with applied learning in the workplace. A range of government funding options and incentives may be available in your state, including up to $4,000 in employer incentives from the Commonwealth Government.

Pathways to further education

Successful attainment of the Diploma of Professional Practice Leadership (enrolments closed) and the Diploma of Leadership in Healthcare Practice will allow for articulation into higher awards including a range of undergraduate and postgraduate awards offered by the University of New England (UNE) Business School.* *Applications must address UNE Program entry criteria. Enrolment fees are set annually by the UNE.
